This lake is so wonderful. Getting to Lake Fork from Frozen Lake is simple, and a glorious nearby hotel is Super 8 Motel - Georgetown. This lake is one of the great places here in the Front Range. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff in the neighborhood of Frozen Lake. Summertime highs at Frozen Lake usually tend to be in the 60's, and the night is rather colder of course, frequently in the 30's. For       the period of the wintertime highs are generally in the 20's while Frozen Lake nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. You get a glorious sight of Mount Bierstadt from Frozen Lake, and you can stay the night at Guanella Pass - Arapaho National Forest. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Paddling on Clear Creek is so much fun, and don't leave Frozen Lake without first going for a hike along the Chicago                  Lakes Trail. Frozen Lake gets a typical amount of annual precipitation; most of the snow falls during April, and October is when it's the driest. Yeah, come up here to the Front Range for a fine time. If you're hooked on cool geologic features, try The Sawtooth, and lakes are such calm spots, why not go to Abyss Lake. There's so much to do here at Frozen Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Burning Bear Campground is a wonderful location for that, and there are good sites to look at along the Rosalie Trail. Georgetown Mountain Inn is a splendid place to get some rest, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Arapahoe Basin is pretty near. All the outdoors enjoyable things in the Front Range will keep you coming back persistently. A delightful lake like Summit Lake close to Frozen Lake is a great location to stop by, and going for a hike on the Abyss Trail is always a perfect adventure.
