If you are in this part of Colorado make sure to pay a visit to Frozen Lake. Frozen Lake is pretty dry mostly; August is the month that gets the most rain, and November meanwhile is the driest month. Hiking along the Long Peak Trail is tremendous fun, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Berthoud Pass is quite near. The Front Range scenery is always beautiful.
