A tour to Cemetery Gulch is always fun, and you can have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Round Hill Trail. Get your heart pumping on the tremendous whitewater of Arkansas River, and Murry Ditch is in close proximity to Franz Number 1 Reservoir and is always a bliss to explore. This lake is so wonderful. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Salida Golf Club is in close proximity; if you came for an overnight stay Little River Ranch Motel is a tremendous place to camp. | |

And if that's not sufficient, there's heaps more to do near Franz Number 1 Reservoir. American Classic Inn is a nice location to get some rest, and there's whitewater on Arkansas River for all you adrenaline kick people.
If the
weather is fine here at Franz Number 1 Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Hunts Lake Trail, and Fessler's Mobile Home Park is a good campground here. At Franz Number 1 Reservoir through the long summer days highs are in the
80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 30's with temperatures at Franz Number 1 Reservoir dipping down into the 0's through winter nights.
Not much rain falls here at Franz Number 1 Reservoir; August is the month that gets the most rain; the driest of the months is January.
