     Fourmile Lake is located in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. You clearly should adore the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. The Rainbow Trail offers hiking at its best, and why not take a little visit to Falls Creek since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, San Juan River offers some magnificent whitewater, and skiing at Wolf Creek is one of those things you just ought to do.
Man, is there lots of cool things to do
 
   in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. There's brilliant hiking along the Fourmile Stock Trail, and Fairfield Pagosa Resort is a good place to get some rest. If you want a perfect time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Fourmile Lake. Looking for something near Fourmile Lake? Turkey Creek Lake is in close proximity, and why not camp at West Fork Campground since you're here at Fourmile Lake.
All through the months of summer at Fourmile Lake highs are
 
               commonly in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 30's. Through the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 20's with temperatures at Fourmile Lake dipping down into the-10's during winter nights. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Wolf Creek, and at Fourmile Lake you can spot Cherry Cairn. This lake is so wonderful. You could also explore Upper Fourmile Lake if you're here at Fourmile Lake; it's close by, and dry warm beds await you at Whispering Pines Condominums.
Don't leave Fourmile Lake without first going for a hike along the Turkey Lake Trail, and a perfect location to camp here at Fourmile Lake is Middle Fork Hunter Campground. Not much rainfall falls here at Fourmile Lake; the wettest month of the year is generally July, that's the one that rains the most while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation.

The take out after Mesa Canyon is where Trujillo Rd gets close to the river on R Left @ 37. 125988°, -107. 051072°
