Get wet paddling on Canyon Creek, and Four Base Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Haviland Lake Campground is a delightful local campground. Four Base Lake is a site with many visitors from Durango, and what would winter be without some skiing at Silverton. Whitewater paddling is nice on Animas River, and after a long day outdoors Lodge at Tamarron is a tremendous place to spend a night or two. These mountains rock, just explore all

Going for a hike on the Circle Trail is always a delightful adventure; Four Base Lake is not the only spot nearby, Haviland Lake is a nearby lake. nighttime lows in the 30's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Four Base Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful San Juan and Jemez Mountains. If you want a great time in
the great outdoors just come on up to the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. A lake nearby is Forebay Lake, and nearby you stumble on the Highline Trail which is a perfect hiking trail. Be careful coming to Four Base Lake, you might not
ever wanna go back home again. Very pretty scenery and wonderful skiing is what you get at Kendall Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. Why not stop at Haviland Lake Dam since you're here, and Canyon Creek is in the neighborhood
of Four Base Lake and is always a diversion to explore. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Four Base Lake. There are nice places to explore along the Goodhope Stock Driveway; if you need a place to stay Purgatory Lodge
by Durango Mountain Resorts is a fine choice. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby Nary Draw is a perfect spot to go if you're at Four Base Lake, and camping at Durango Koa Kampground is always a perfect experience.
