Skyway Campground is a wonderful campground nearby, and you don’t have to go far from Forrest Reservoir to see the water at Forrest Dam. This lake is so wonderful. There is a magnificent hiking trail close to Forrest Reservoir called the Cottonwood Lakes Foot Trail, and Powderhorn is a perfect local ski area. A delightful lake like Finney Reservoir close to Forrest Reservoir is a nice place to visit; Comfort Inn Delta is a tremendous spot to get some rest.

| | Forrest Reservoir is pretty waterless ordinarily; the wettest month of the year is regularly October, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is January. Going for a hike on the Crag Crest Trail is always a brilliant adventure, and Forrest Reservoir is a magnificent place to visit for more than one day, Little Bear Campground is a magnificent place to camp nearby. Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail, and get wet paddling on Kannah Creek. So many cool things to do here at Forrest Reservoir, too perfect to be true. Greenwood Reservoir is a magnificent lake right next door to Forrest
Reservoir; a pleasant close by hotel is Howard Johnson Express - Cedaredge. All through the warmest time of the year, highs mostly are in the 90's at Forrest Reservoir, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. All through
the winter this place gets highs in the 30's while Forrest Reservoir night low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 10's.
