It's always fun to stop by Forebay Lake. From a precipitation point of view Forebay Lake is a quite normal place; most of the rain falls all through August, and the driest month of the year is June. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. After a long day outdoors Tamarron Resort is a nice place to spend a night or two, and Lodge at Tamarron is a brilliant place to get some rest.

| | Jemez Mountains. There's glorious hiking along the Goodhope Stock Driveway, and Haviland Lake Dam is a stunning place, without doubt worth going to. Skiing at Kendall Mountain is one of those things you just ought to do, and you can go for a hike on the Highline Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Silverton since you're here, and Nary Draw is a magnificent spot to explore.

havin' a nice time here at Forebay Lake. While you're here at Forebay Lake, you could also take a look at striking Electra Lake, and Haviland Lake Campground is a delightful campground nearby. Now, you may imagine that's a load but
there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Forebay Lake. And if that's not sufficient there's a lot more exciting stuff to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Looking for some flowing water? Try Canyon Creek, and there
are some tremendous whitewater spots on Animas River.
This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of folks from Durango here, and there's whitewater on Canyon Creek for all you adrenaline junkies. Don't leave Forebay Lake without
first going for a hike along the Circle Trail; you can stay the night at Durango Koa Kampground. All through the summer months at Forebay Lake temperatures are commonly in the 70's with night lows in the 30's. For the duration of
the winter this place gets highs in the 30's with temperatures at Forebay Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights.
