So much entertaining stuff in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, just unbelievable. Holiday Inn Express Canon City, Co is a great place to get some rest, and do take a hike on the Mineral-Stevens Trail. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things at Florence Number 1 and 2 Reservoir. A good close by hotel is Super 8 Motel - Florence, and Florence Number 1 and 2 Reservoir       is close to Allen Gulch which is absolutely worth visiting. Have a delightful hiking adventure along the North Creek Trail, and why not a little side tour to Lewis Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Rudolph Mountain Trail, and paddling on Grape Creek is so much fun. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Camping at North Creek Campground is always a tremendous experience, and                  get covered with water paddling on Arkansas River. Florence Number 1 and 2 Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. At Florence Number 1 and 2 Reservoir you always meet someone from Canon City, and the top of Mock Hill is easily seen from Florence Number 1 and 2 Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Florence Number 1 and 2 Reservoir is great enough to spend more than a day at, Smith Creek Campground is a great local campground. For the duration of the summertime months at Florence Number 1 and 2 Reservoir temperatures are regularly in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's; nighttime lows in the 20's for Florence Number 1 and 2 Reservoir.
