Good hiking is available along the Fayville Trail. There's always Lake of the Woods Dam to check out near Florence Lake, and you can go for a hike on the Oyster Lake Trail. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Sweetwater Creek; there are other places here than Florence Lake, for example Trappers Lake. Just can't get enough of Florence Lake. Don't leave       Florence Lake without first going for a hike along the Ute Trail It's always splendid to visit Bessies Falls. At Florence Lake you don’t see much rainfall; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily October, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is January. There are some glorious whitewater spots on White River - North Fork, and here at Florence Lake you can see Himes Peak. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Rodeway                  Inn Glenwood Springs is a delightful spot to spend a night or two, and if you came to camp Shepherds Rim Campground is a good spot to do that. Lakes? Sure, Crescent Lake is in close proximity. There's so much to do here at Florence Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Himes Peak Campground is a magnificent spot for that. Throughout the summer at Florence Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 40's.
