Florence Lake is a location that is pretty dehydrated ordinarily;       the month of October is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is January. Camping at Himes Peak Campground is always a delightful experience, and close by you hit upon the Ute Trail which is a good hiking trail. Not far from Florence Lake, you'll stumble on Clinard Lake which is a charming lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you                  then, we recommend Sweetwater Creek. Going for a hike on the Fayville Trail is always a nice adventure, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Bessies Falls. During the summertime months at Florence Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Florence Lake temperatures descend to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.
