You absolutely should love Floating Lake. Bark Basin is a wonderful place any time of year, and you might also want to pay a visit to Road Gulch if you're here at Floating Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Through the summer, highs commonly are in the 80's at Floating Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's, and during the dark       hours in the wintertime at Floating Lake temperatures fall to the 0's. If you came for an overnight stay Crystal Meadows Ranch is a brilliant spot to camp, and the summit of Buck Mesa can be observed from Floating Lake. A good close by hotel is Rocky Mountain Inn, and there is a delightful hiking trail close by called the Terror Trail. Going for a hike on the Sunset Trail is always a great adventure, and you can run the rapids of Anthracite Creek - Ruby                  Fork. An average amount of precipitation falls at Floating Lake; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily March, that's the one that rains the most, and June meanwhile is the driest month. Dyke Creek Campground is a nice campground here, and after a long day outdoors Redwood Arms Motel is a good spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful.
