     Whitewater paddling is glorious on Rio Grande, and why not camp at Lost Trail Campground while you're here at Flint Lakes. You truly must fancy the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Pine River Campground is a glorious local campground, and if the weather is splendid, you can go for a hike along the Fern Creek Stock Driveway. This lake is so wonderful.
This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Purgatory Village Condominium Hotel is a nice location
 
   to spend a night or two, and almost certainly you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Twin Lakes is just a very short distance away. Flint Lakes is a location that is relatively dried up generally; all through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is June. Flint Lakes is a beautiful lake in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
If you want a fine time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Flint Lakes. There's
 
               no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Kendall Mountain, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Deer Park Trail. Going for a hike along the Whitehead Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and if you've had enough of Flint Lakes, Ute Lake is nearby. These mountains rock, just explore all the amusing things to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. In the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Vallecito Creek, and tremendous skiing awaits you at Silverton.
For the period of the summer at Flint Lakes temperatures are commonly in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 40's. During the winter highs are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Flint Lakes.
