You'll need more than a day to explore everything Fivemile Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at West Dolores Campground. Lakes are nice; Bauer Reservoir is a lake that's close to Fivemile Reservoir. After a long day outdoors Dunton Hot Springs is a nice place to spend a night or two, and Blue Spring is a beautiful place to go to while you're at Fivemile Reservoir. You're most likely into lakes, Taylor Mesa Reservoir is one of those nearby; hiking along the Stoner Mesa Trail is great fun. Blue Spring Draw. This lake is so wonderful. A good nearby hotel is Echo Basin Dude And Guest Ranch, LLC, and do take a hike on the Spring Creek Trail. But wait, there's more to do right next door to Fivemile Reservoir. Very gorgeous
scenery and great skiing is what you get at Hesperus Ski Center. There's so much to do here at Fivemile Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Priest Gulch Campground and RV is a tremendous place for that. Summertime highs
at Fivemile Reservoir frequently tend to be in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 30's. Throughout the winter highs are commonly in the 30's, and night lows in the 0's for Fivemile Reservoir.

It contains 402 surfqace acres when full. The lake is stocked with fish by the Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) and open for public fishing. Public access is from highway 184 on the north side of the lake. There is a boat ramp. Fishing is allowed from the bank or from hand powered or trolling motor powered boats only. The public access is maintained by the DOW. The only facilities present is a boat ramp and a pit toilet. No fires, swimming or overnight camping is allowed.... |
