In case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cimarron River, and if you came to camp Big Cimarron Campground is a glorious place to do that. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a glorious time here at Fitzpatrick Reservoir. Cimarron River is a delightful whitewater spot next to Fitzpatrick Reservoir; while you're here at Fitzpatrick Reservoir it's a perfect idea to       stop by Duckett Park. Man, is there plenty of amusing stuff to do in the San Juan Mountains. Lake Fork Resort is a glorious location to get some rest, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Little Cimarron Trail. So many exciting things to do here in the San Juan Mountains, too perfect to be true. While you're here at Fitzpatrick Reservoir you can take a hike along the Alpine Trail. Lakes are pleasant; Burnt Lake is a lake that's in the neighborhood                  of Fitzpatrick Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. For the period of the summer highs here at Fitzpatrick Reservoir reach the 80's. Summer night lows sink down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 30's while Fitzpatrick Reservoir nighttime low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 10's. A quick trip to Butte Creek next to Fitzpatrick Reservoir is a great idea, and there is a magnificent hiking trail nearby called the Hartman Trail. Fitzpatrick Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the San Juan Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Cimarron Inn & Motel is a perfect choice. There's so much to do here at Fitzpatrick Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Black Canyon Campground is a splendid spot for that.
