     The Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Be careful coming to the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains, you might not ever want to go home again. Fisher Reservoir is a delightful spot to visit for more than one day, Antone Spring Campground is a delightful spot to camp nearby; San Miguel River has a delightful whitewater paddling spot close by.
This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget to take a delightful little spree to Clear Creek, and paddling
 
   on San Miguel River is so much fun. Yeah, come up here to the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains for a great time. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Tarantula Reservoir, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Paradox Road. Fisher Reservoir is ordinarily a reasonably dry spot; the wettest month of the year is usually July, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is February.
At Fisher Reservoir
 
               all through the summer months highs are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's. Highs throughout the winter are usually in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Fisher Reservoir are in the 0's. Here at Fisher Reservoir you'll in all probability meet some folks from Montrose, and the Dry Creek Trail offers hiking at its best. That right there is a lot already, but it continues; Fisher Reservoir has it all. Iron Spring Campground is a pleasant campground nearby; not far from Fisher Reservoir you'll stumble on Fire Box Reservoir which is a pretty lake.
This lake is so wonderful. A perfect location near Fisher Reservoir is Hanks Valley; hiking is a popular thing to do around Fisher Reservoir; Horsefly Trail is a fine local trail. A visit to Clay Creek Spring will fill your soul with splendid feelings; after a long day outdoors Hampton Inn Montrose is a great place to spend a night or two.
