In Colorado there are many beautiful lakes, Fish Lake is one of them. This lake is so wonderful. Fish Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Mix Lake Campground is a good local campground, and Gunsight Pass is a good place to stop at. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things next to Fish Lake. There's so much to do here at Fish Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Stunner Campground is a great site for that, and since you're here,

| | you could also stop at beautiful Lake Ann. Take a hike on the Continental Divide Trail; paddling on Conejos River is so much fun. Summertime brings highs in the 60's to Fish Lake while overnight lows are generally in the 40's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and overnight lows at Fish Lake through the wintertime generally descend into the 0's.  | 15 miles away I am a very close relative of the land owners for a significant portion of the East Fork. There is a couple of miles of river that is private land. Using the river or the land without authorization is tresspassing and is illegal. I am by no means giving you permission to use it. I am simply stating the facts.  | 19 miles away In the 16 years that I have lived in the area, there has never been white water ( for rafting, canoeing, kayaking etc. I presume) in the Brazos. I think you are referring to the Chama River which starts in the Colorado San Juans and flows through New Mexico into the Rio Grande in Espanola ,NM. Plenty of white water there in the spring time....You seem to have missed letting people know about the great trout fishing at Trujillo Meadows. I have never been there that I haven't hooked a big one.... |
