This lake is located in the wonderful Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. If you need a place to stay Quality Inn & Suites is a glorious choice. There's so much to do here at Fire Box Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Antone Spring Campground is a brilliant place for that. This place, the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains, has so much outdoors exciting things. Clay Creek Spring is always fun to check out, and Fire Box Reservoir is right by the Dry

| | Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Clear Creek flows through this area, and Geyser Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could stop by. Be careful coming to Fire Box Reservoir, you might not ever want to return back home again. During your spree to Fire Box Reservoir you'll meet some folks from Montrose for sure; hiking along the Paradox Road is tremendous fun. This lake is so wonderful. San Miguel River has a great whitewater paddling spot close by. | |

Box Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Iron Spring Campground. Paddling on San Miguel River is so much fun, and the Horsefly Trail offers hiking at its best. High temperatures at Fire Box Reservoir throughout the months of summer
are in the 80's with night lows in the 40's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Fire Box Reservoir are in the 0's. Fire Box Reservoir gets very little precipitation; July is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February.
