Take a hike on the Allens Park-Wild Basin Trail; Finch Lake is not the only place nearby, Twin Lakes is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. Finch Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Meeker Park Campground is a good local campground, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Boulder Creek. What would winter be without       some skiing at Berthoud Pass. There's so much to do here at Finch Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Mount Meeker Campground is a fine place for that. All the outdoors enjoyable stuff in the Front Range will keep you coming back persistently. A great spot like Wild Basin here at Finch Lake is too perfect to miss, and don't miss out on a visit to Rocky Mountain National Park while you're here. Finch Lake is pretty dehydrated typically; most of the rain                  falls through August, and February is the month with the least moisture. So much exciting stuff to do at Finch Lake, so little time. Calypso Cascades is a nice local attraction, and if you come at the right time of year, Saint Vrain Creek - North offers some great whitewater. Yeah, come up here to the Front Range for a great time. The sight of beautiful Meadow Mountain near Finch Lake is fine, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Thunder Lake Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Front Range. After a long day outdoors Aspen Lodge is a good spot to spend a night or two; if you've had enough of Finch Lake, Sandbeach Lake is nearby. For the period of the warm months, highs mostly are in the 70's at Finch Lake. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's; throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Finch Lake temperatures drop to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Tent Rocks is an attention-grabbing place to explore while at Finch Lake, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Finch Lake; Finch Lake-Pear Reservoir Trail is a glorious local trail. This lake is so wonderful. Cony Creek is a striking stream that is worth checking out; if you need a place to stay Marys Lake Lodge is a magnificent choice.
