Nordic Lodge of Steamboat is a splendid location to get some rest, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Farwell Lake; Hinman Creek Trail is a magnificent local trail. Farwell Lake is a fine place to camp, Hinman Campground is       a fine place, and if you need a site to stay Sheraton Steamboat Springs Resort And Conference Center is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here, you might as well visit Hinman Canyon, and Elk River has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot close by. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things in the Park Range. Dome Peak can be spotted from Farwell Lake, and whitewater paddling is perfect on Encampment River. The warmest time of the                  year brings highs in the 80's to Farwell Lake. Through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Farwell Lake temperatures dip to the 0's. Farwell Lake is located in the Park Range. So many amusing things in the Park Range, just mind-blowing. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Farwell Lake has to offer, you can camp at Coulton Creek Campground, and Farwell Lake is right by the Fireline Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Howelsen Hill.
