Farr Lake is always a pleasure to visit. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. All year is a pleasant time in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains if you have a thing about the outdoors. Take a side tour to Mayne Arroyo, and dry warm beds await you at Knights Inn Walensburg. Around Farr Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and January meanwhile is the driest

For the period of the days of summer at Farr Lake temperatures are regularly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 40's with temperatures at Farr Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. Camping at Farr Lake is good fun, Country Host Motel and RV Park is a good local campground; there's splendid hiking along the Wahatoya Trail. This lake is so wonderful. | |
