What a place this is for outdoors folks. You'll come across a stunning lake called Lower Chinns Reservoir near Fall River Reservoir; skiing at Winter Park is one of those things you just must do. Lakes are such serene locations, why not stop at Chinns Lake near Fall River Reservoir, and you can never get enough of the good skiing at Berthoud Pass. Hiking along the South Boulder Creek Trail is splendid fun,       and Clear Creek - West Fork is a delightful whitewater spot nearby. For the period of the days of summer at Fall River Reservoir highs are mostly in the 70's. All through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Fall River Reservoir. A good site to camp here at Fall River Reservoir is Spruce Lodge Campground, and after a long day outdoors Georgetown Mountain                  Inn is a good place to spend a night or two. An interesting thing to stop at close to Fall River Reservoir is Fall River Dam; do take a hike on the James Peak Lake Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things close to Fall River Reservoir. Going for a hike along the Sevenmile Ski Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and North Empire Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out. This lake is so wonderful. Fall River Reservoir is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Mountain Meadow Camp Grounds is a nice local campground, and Iron Horse Resort is a good place to get some rest. It is very dry here at Fall River Reservoir mostly; the month with most of the rain is August while February is ordinarily the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
