If you're stopping by Falcon Lake from Fort Collins-Loveland, you won't be the only one, and if you need a location to stay Alpine Trail Ridge Inn is a good choice. Now, you may think that's plenty but there's even more entertaining things to do here in the Front Range. You can run the rapids of Boulder Creek near Falcon Lake, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Falcon Lake; Bluebird Lake Trail is a nice local trail. The warmest time of the year at Falcon Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's while Falcon Lake overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 0's. You think that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Lakes? Sure, Lake of Many Winds is in the neighborhood, and picturesque scenery and great skiing is what you obtain at Berthoud Pass. This lake is so wonderful. Mount Alice is trouble-free to spot from Falcon Lake; dry warm beds await you at Peak To Peak Lodge Inc..
