There's so much to do here at Ethel Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Robbers Roost Campground is a delightful place for that; Winter Park is a good local ski area. Ethel Lake is pretty dry frequently; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; February meanwhile is the driest month.       This lake is so wonderful. Ethel Lake is right by the Sevenmile Ski Trail, and the slopes of Berthoud Pass are so inviting noone can resist. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things near Ethel Lake. Hiking along the Mary Jane Ski Trail is great fun, and in the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clear Creek. A brilliant view of beautiful Breckinridge Peak is available from Ethel Lake,                  and Clear Creek - West Fork is a brilliant whitewater spot close by. Have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Mount Nystrom Trail, and Ethel Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Spruce Lodge Campground is a tremendous local campground. People from Silverthorne love to come to Ethel Lake. During the summer at Ethel Lake highs are typically in the 70's, and the overnight is somewhat colder of course, frequently in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Ethel Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
