Summer at Lake Esther arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. Highs during the winter are typically in the 30's while Lake Esther nighttime low temperatures all through the winter are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. You're probably hooked on lakes, Paradise Lakes is one of those close by, and The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch is a perfect spot to get some rest.       You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Lake Esther is a splendid spot to visit for more than one day, Gold Park Campground is a splendid spot to camp nearby; there's wonderful hiking along the Main Range Trail. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Ski Cooper is in the neighborhood of Lake Esther, and Lake Esther is a site with many visitors from Edwards. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Sawatch Range. Not far from Lake Esther you                  obtain some splendid water scenery at Homestake Project Dam, and the Half Moon Trail offers hiking at its best. It is very dried up here at Lake Esther frequently; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Lakes are great; Brady Lake is a lake that's near Lake Esther, and the skiing at Beaver Creek is perfect. Yep, outdoors exciting things truly is plentiful here in the Sawatch Range. Dry warm beds await you at Christie Lodge, and a good spot for whitewater paddling is Eagle River. This lake is so wonderful. East Fork Homestake Creek is a pretty stream that is worth a visit, and you can run the rapids of Homestake Creek. You definitely must go for Lake Esther.
