A glorious spot for whitewater paddling close to Erickson Lake is Roaring Fork, and why not camp at Gypsum Creek Campground since you're here at Erickson Lake. During the months of summer at Erickson Lake highs are typically in the 80's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the       30's; all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Erickson Lake temperatures fall to the 0's. Around Erickson Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; throughout April this area sees the most rain; the driest of the months is June. Not far from Erickson Lake, you'll discover Cherry Lake which is a scenic lake; dry warm beds await you at The Crestwood Condominiums. While you're here at Erickson Lake you can take a hike along the Salt Creek Trail, and                  The Green Drake is a wonderful location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Aspen Highlands and strap some skis to your feet, and if you came for an overnight stay Rocky Fork Campground is a great spot to camp. That right there is lots of cool stuff already but it goes on, the Sawatch Range has it all. You can run the rapids of -blank- near Erickson Lake, and you simply should have a look at Masonic Monument while you're here at Erickson Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Antone Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and hiking along the Blue Creek Trail is magnificent fun. Be careful coming to the Sawatch Range, you might not ever wanna go back home again.
