    Equalizer Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. All through the summer highs here at Equalizer Lake reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's with temperatures at Equalizer Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. A delightful lake like Houts Reservoir next to Equalizer Lake is a great place to visit. Houts Dam is a spot that is near Equalizer  
   Lake, and Equalizer Lake is a pleasant place to visit for more than one day, Rising Star is a pleasant place to camp nearby.
This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Residence Inn by Marriott Loveland is a nice choice; folks from Fort Collins-Loveland love to come here. Do explore Nelson Reservoir close to Equalizer Lake, it's a scenic lake; Loveland RV Village Campground is a delightful local campground. A great nearby hotel is Fairfield Inn By

At Equalizer Lake you don’t see much rainfall; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain while February is generally the driest month. So many amusing things close to Equalizer Lake, simply unbelievable. Playing golf is lots of fun at Ptarmigan Country Club, and if you come at the right time of year, Big Thompson River offers some brilliant whitewater.

Watson is beautiful. You do need a wilderness habitat stamp to be there, but that is included with your fishing license. It is closed to boating, except float tubes. The river (poudre) runs along the east side of the lake so even for casual recreation or non fishing activities it is a picteresque spot. There are two handicapped/wheelchair accessible fishing docks, and the trail by the river is also wheelchair friendly....
