If you like lakes and you're in this part of Colorado you can check out Empire Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Arkansas River is a great whitewater spot close to Empire Reservoir, and you can never get enough of the perfect skiing at Copper Mountain. Empire Reservoir is a location that is reasonably dried out regularly; August is when you get the most rain here, and October meanwhile is the driest month. The Limber Grove Trail offers hiking at its best.

don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Arkansas River, and Silver King Inn is a pleasant place to get some rest. Black Cloud Tailing Pond Dam is worth going to since you're here, and Empire Reservoir is right by the Tumble Creek Trail.
