Lake Emma is always a pleasure to visit. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Don't leave Lake Emma without first going for a hike along the Bear Creek Trail, and you might also want to pay a visit to Parron Gulch while you're here at Lake Emma. Throughout the months of summer, highs usually are in the 70's at Lake Emma. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Daytime highs throughout

| | the wintertime are in the 30's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Lake Emma drop into the 10's. This lake is located in the wonderful San Juan and Jemez Mountains. If you came for an overnight stay Silverton Lakes Campground is a fine spot to camp, and magnificent hiking is available along the Greyhound Pack Trail. Lake Emma gets very little rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here while June is regularly the driest month. | |

If you fancy the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Lake Emma. So much amusing stuff in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, just phenomenal. A day on the slopes of Kendall Mountain is just what you need, and you must absolutely
dedicate some time to Alaska Basin since you're here at Lake Emma. This is no site for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. You could also stop at Hematite Lake while you're here at Lake Emma; it's nearby, and dry warm beds
await you at St.Elmo Hotel. Glide down the rapids of Mineral Creek - South in a kayak, and the panorama of Bonita Peak is pretty. This lake is so wonderful. Best Western Twin Peaks Motel is a wonderful spot to get some rest, and
the snow is magnificent at Silverton. This lake is so wonderful. There's nice hiking along the Horsethief Trail, and Lake Emma is not the only place close by, Lake Como is a close by lake. Silver Summit RV Park And Jeep Rentals is
a great campground nearby, and if you come at the right time of year, Lime Creek offers some glorious whitewater.
