Emerald Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Emerald Lake while overnight lows are typically in the 30's. Through the winter highs are ordinarily in the 20's, and overnight lows all through the wintertime for Emerald Lake tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious site to camp here at Emerald Lake is Skyline Campground, and Peak To Peak Lodge Inc. is a pleasant

| | spot to get some rest. You can run the rapids of Joe Wright Creek near Emerald Lake, and if the weather is tremendous, you can go for a hike along the Green Ridge Trail. The Medicine Bow Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Just can't get enough of the Medicine Bow Mountains. A wonderful spot for whitewater paddling close to Emerald Lake is Cache La Poudre River; nearby you hit upon the Camp Lake Trail which is a great hiking trail. Be careful coming | |

nearby. And if that's not sufficient there's heaps more entertaining stuff to do in the Medicine Bow Mountains. A lake close by is Twin Lakes. Emerald Lake is pretty dried out usually; May is when you get the most rain here, and
the driest of the months is January. Emerald Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Tunnel Campground is a glorious local campground, and Liebey Park is a delightful location here at Emerald Lake.
