Emerald Lake is one of the lakes here in the Medicine Bow Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Lower Nunn Creek Trail, and if you came to camp Skyline Campground is a wonderful place to do that. Get your heart pumping on the delightful whitewater of Joe Wright Creek, and why not have a look at close by Half Mile Creek since you're here at Emerald Lake. Through the summer highs       here at Emerald Lake get into the 70's, and the nighttime is a tad colder of course, typically in the 30's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Emerald Lake temperatures sink to the 0's. You can run the rapids of Cache La Poudre River near Emerald Lake; a nice site like Liebey Park here at Emerald Lake is too good to miss. What a site this is for outdoors folks. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Green                  Ridge Trail, and after a long day outdoors Peak To Peak Lodge Inc. is a great spot to spend a night or two.
