If you are in Gunnison county it's always a good idea to stop by Elko Lake. Now, you may assume that's a load but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Elko Lake. There are plenty of people from Edwards here at Elko Lake. A great site to take a look at right next door to Elko Lake is Schofield Pass, and if you get bored of Elko Lake you could also go to nearby Emerald Lake. Around Elko Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; most of the rain falls all through August,

This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of Irwin Lodge are so inviting nobody can resist, and camping at Avery Peak Campground is always a magnificent experience. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a wonderful time here at Elko Lake. Gotta ski! Aspen Highlands is a splendid place to do that; hiking is a popular thing to do around Elko Lake; Trail Riders Trail is a splendid local trail. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take | |

a refreshing hike along the Lowline Trail, and a fine spot to camp here at Elko Lake is Maroon Lake Campground.
Get covered with water paddling on Daisy Creek, and a tremendous view of charming Mount Baldy is available. Visit
East Fork South Fork Crystal River while you're here at Elko Lake, and float down the rapids of Crystal River - North Fork in a kayak. A fine nearby hotel is Redstone/Evergreen/Ponderosa By Resortquest, and the Munsey Ruby Stock Driveway
offers hiking at its best.
Summertime highs at Elko Lake generally tend to be in the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 40's. Throughout the winter the highs are typically in the 30's, and throughout
the dark hours in the wintertime at Elko Lake temperatures drop to the-10's. Elko Park is a fine place, and if you need a place to stay Resort Quest Crested Butte is a fine choice.
