This lake is so wonderful. Elk Park Reservoir is not the only site close by, Trout Lake is a close by lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Gunnison River. If you came for an overnight stay Fish Hawk Campground is a great place to camp, and a fine close by hotel is Howard Johnson Express - Cedaredge. High temperatures at Elk       Park Reservoir throughout the summer are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while Elk Park Reservoir overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's. Man, is there a lot of entertaining stuff to do in the vicinity of Elk Park Reservoir. Good hiking is available along the High Foot Trail, and camping is available at Trickel Park Campground. Not much precipitation falls here at Elk Park Reservoir;                  most of the rain falls all through March while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Elk Park Reservoir; Crag Crest Trail is a splendid local trail; after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Delta is a good place to spend a night or two.
