There's so much to do here at Elk Lake Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Freeman Campground is a perfect place for that, and there's some interesting stuff to observe       at Elk Lake Dam in close proximity to Elk Lake Reservoir. It is very arid here at Elk Lake Reservoir generally; the wettest month of the year is mostly May, that's the one that rains the most while February is commonly the driest month.
