What a nice lake Elk Lake Number 1 is. Here at Elk Lake Number 1 you can catch a glimpse of Twin Rocks; South Platte River has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot close by. Not much precipitation falls here at Elk Lake Number 1; July is the month that gets the most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Front Range. There's great hiking along the Phantom Creek Trail, and if you haven’t been to Florissant

This site, the Front Range, has so much outdoors enjoyable things. The Cliff House Hotel at Pikes Peak is a pleasant site to get some rest. This lake is located in the wonderful Front Range. Number 1 rocks! If you came to camp Alpine Lakes Resort is a delightful place to do that, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Elk Lake Number 1; Rule Ridge Trail is a glorious local trail. High temperatures at Elk Lake Number
1 during the summer are in the 80's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Elk Lake Number 1 temperatures sink to the 0's.
