This lake is one of the great places       here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. If you're here, you might as well have a look at Haney Canyon, and Grandview Cabins is a good local campground. If you come at the right time of year, Wolf Creek offers some magnificent whitewater, and going for a hike along the Highline Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Elk Creek Number 1 Reservoir gets a large                  amount of water; most of the snow falls through March while June is mostly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Drift down the rapids of Rio Grande in a kayak; Elk Creek is near Elk Creek Number 1 Reservoir and is always a bliss to pop by. This site is excellent, just explore all the entertaining stuff to do close to Elk Creek Number 1 Reservoir. A picturesque lake like Million Reservoir right next door to Elk Creek Number 1 Reservoir is a wonderful location to take a look at; hiking along the Lake Fork National Recreation Trail is wonderful fun. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
