So much exciting stuff to do here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, too splendid to be true. Hiking along the Lake Fork National Recreation Trail is brilliant fun. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Elk Creek Number 1 Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Grandview Cabins. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. For the       duration of the months of summer at Elk Creek Number 1 Reservoir temperatures are typically in the 60's; the night is somewhat cooler of course, commonly in the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Elk Creek Number 1 Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Have a glorious hiking adventure along the Wolf Creek Stock Driveway, and Allington Inn and Suites is a pleasant place to get some rest. Elk Creek                  Number 1 Reservoir sees pretty high levels of precipitation; March is when you get the most snow here while June is mostly the driest month. Dry warm beds await you at The Spruce Lodge, and a good site to take a look at is Haney Canyon. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff at Elk Creek Number 1 Reservoir. The peak of Sentinel Peak can be spotted from Elk Creek Number 1 Reservoir, and Elk Creek Number 1 Reservoir is a splendid site to visit for more than one day, Aspen Ridge Cabins and RV Park is a splendid site to camp nearby. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Wolf Creek; while you're here you can take a hike along the Highline Trail. Man, is there heaps of exciting stuff to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. While you're here at Elk Creek Number 1 Reservoir, you could also check out wonderful Million Reservoir; soar down the rapids of Rio Grande in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful.
