Elevenmile Canyon Reservoir is pretty dry regularly; most of the rain falls throughout August, and January on the other hand is the driest. That right there is loads already, but it continues; Elevenmile Canyon Reservoir has it all. The Lake Park Trail offers hiking at its best; camping is available at Reservoir Campground. Get yourself into a kayak and hit South Platte River; if you have the       time, Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is a national park worth a visit. This lake is so wonderful. Visit Sims Creek while you're here at Elevenmile Canyon Reservoir, and you don’t have to go far from Elevenmile Canyon Reservoir to catch a glimpse of the water at Eleven Mile Canyon Dam. Good hiking is available along the Longwater Trail; if you came for an overnight stay Wagon Tongue Campground is a great location to camp. Greenview South Beach                  is a tremendous place to get some rest. For the period of the summer here at Elevenmile Canyon Reservoir, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 70's; the night is quite cooler of course, commonly in the 30's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Elevenmile Canyon Reservoir temperatures dip to the-10's.
