Eldorado Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. You get a delightful view of Hunchback Mountain from Eldorado Lake, and do check out Kite Lake, it's a gorgeous lake. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan Mountains. Any time is a magnificent time at Eldorado Lake if you love the outdoors. Skiing at Silverton is one of those things you just should do, and splendid hiking is available along the Deer Park Trail.

| | This lake is so wonderful. Hunchback Pass is in the neighborhood of Eldorado Lake and is a fine place. There's so much to do here at Eldorado Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Silverton Lakes Campground is a glorious place for that. Some of the water nearby flows, like Nebo Creek, and don't leave Eldorado Lake without first going for a hike along the Whitehead Trail. This lake is so wonderful. if you come at the right time of year, Mineral Creek - South offers some nice whitewater.
You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the San Juan Mountains has to offer. Really brilliant skiing awaits you at
Kendall Mountain. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Eldorado Lake has to offer, you can camp at Silver Summit RV Park And Jeep Rentals. Whohoo, so many exciting things in one place! The San Juan Mountains rocks!
If you need a place to stay Best Western Twin Peaks Motel is a pleasant choice, and there's nice hiking along the Brooklyn Trail. Glide down the rapids of Vallecito Creek in a kayak.

here at Eldorado Lake reach the 70's with night lows in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's; throughout the dark hours in the winter at Eldorado Lake temperatures drop to the 0's. Not much rainfall falls here at Eldorado Lake; August is when you get the most rain here while June is ordinarily the driest month.
