If you are in Routt county it's always a good idea to stop by Lake Edward. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Village at Steamboat is a delightful place to spend a night or two; if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Big Creek Lake Trail. There are other places here than Lake Edward, for example Lake Margaret, and why not a little side spree to East Branch South Fork Mad Creek. Steamboat has pleasant slopes and a friendly

| | staff; the Swamp Park Trail is a magnificent hiking trail close by.
This lake is so wonderful. From Lake Edward you acquire a pleasant view of Horse Thief Peak, and you can hit the slopes at Howelsen Hill around here. At Lake Edward you don’t see much precipitation; December is the wettest month with most snow; the driest month of the year is August. you're here you can take a hike along the Luna Lake Trail.
You assume that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Get drenched paddling on Elk River; lakes are such serene locations, why not take a look at Lake Margaret. Lake Edward
is located in the Park Range. All through the days of summer highs here at Lake Edward reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and throughout
the dark hours in the wintertime at Lake Edward temperatures plunge to the-10's.
Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff right next door to Lake Edward. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! The Park Range is unbeatable!
Camping at Summit Lake Campground is always a pleasant experience, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Elk River. Now, you may feel that's loads but there's even more exciting things to do here in the Park Range. A great close by hotel is Western Lodge, and if you came to camp Dry Lake Campground is a good place to do that.
