While you're here at Echo Lake you can take a hike along the Abyss Trail, and you're perhaps hooked on lakes, Idaho Springs Reservoir is one of those nearby. That right there is heaps of entertaining stuff already but it goes on, the Front Range has it all. Going for a hike along the Rosalie Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and Super 8 Motel - Georgetown       is a glorious location to get some rest. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Echo Lake. Winter Park has brilliant slopes and a friendly staff, and West Chicago Creek Campground is a perfect local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Arapahoe Basin is a very popular ski area close by, and if you come at the right time of year, Clear Creek offers some great whitewater. If you need a spot to stay Georgetown Mountain Inn is a magnificent                  choice, and the top of Devils Nose is easily seen from Echo Lake. This lake is one of the great places here in the Front Range. Have a fine hiking adventure along the Chicago Lakes Trail, and unsurprisingly, this is a brilliant vicinity for folks who like lakes, Lincoln Lake is a lake close by. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Ranger Station if you're here at Echo Lake, and swing by South Chicago Creek it's a perfect place to stop at. Idaho Springs Dam is a spot that is close to Echo Lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Clear Creek. Through the months of summer highs here at Echo Lake get into the 60's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's with temperatures at Echo Lake dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. Now, you may think that's a heap but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Echo Lake.
