You could also check out Panhandle Reservoir if you're here at Eaton Reservoir; it's close by, and Cow Creek is in the vicinity of Eaton Reservoir and is always a bliss to go to. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Eaton Reservoir is not the only spot nearby, Worster Reservoir is a nearby lake; Worster Dam is a location that is next to Eaton Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Eaton Reservoir is pretty waterless       frequently; the month with most of the rain is July, and the driest month is January. Don't leave Eaton Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Roaring Fork Trail, and going for a hike on the Killpecker Trail is always a great adventure. Stay the night at Creedmore Lakes Campground, and you can go for a hike on the North Lone Pine Trail. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Howard Johnson Inn - Laramie is a great location to                  spend a night or two; drift down the rapids of Cache La Poudre River - North Fork in a kayak. Paddling on Cache La Poudre River is so much fun, and Beaver Meadows Resort Ranch is a good campground nearby. Through the months of summer at Eaton Reservoir temperatures are generally in the 80's with night lows in the 40's.
