Sure, Deep Lake is just a very short distance away. If you came to camp Shepherds Rim Campground is a great place to do that, and White River - North Fork has a fine whitewater paddling spot close by. It is very arid here at East Lost Lake mostly; March is the month that gets the most snow; June is the month with the least moisture. So many       cool things to do here at East Lost Lake, too fine to be true. The Oyster Lake Trail offers hiking at its best, and if you've had enough of East Lost Lake, Dines Lake is close by. This lake is so wonderful. Oak Tree Inn Yampa is a tremendous location to get some rest, and hiking is a popular thing to do around East Lost Lake; Ute Trail is a splendid local trail. The warmest time of the year at East Lost Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Once                  the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. Highs all through the winter are commonly in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to East Lost Lake.
