You can run the rapids of South Platte River next to East Lake Number 2; you'll locate a pretty lake called East Lake Number 3. This lake is so wonderful. A striking lake like Eastlake Reservoir Number 1 close to East Lake Number 2 is a wonderful location to visit, and a delightful location to camp here at East Lake Number 2 is Delux RV Park. High temperatures at East Lake Number 2 during the months of summer are in the 80's, and all through summer nights

| | temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at East Lake Number 2. Camping is available at Barr Lake RV Park, and golf can be played at Legacy Ridge Golf Course.

| Good fishing here if you are willing to experiment. Limited shoreline access because of the weed structures but those weeds hold good size bass. I have found it easy to catch 10-14 inch largemouth in the open spots with plastic worms and surface lures. I have only fished there four times as of this writing (07/13/2007) but have enjoyed each visit. My best fish so far was a 17'' largemouth caught on a Jitterbug. Take the kids!... |

Is there a way to join the Baseline Recreation Group?...How do you get in touch with the Denver Boat Club?...Is there a way to join the Baseline Res Group? ...Is it possible to obtain a membership to kayak or canoe on the lake?...Baseline Res is the city of Lafayette?s water supply. The Denver Boat Club rents it from the city so they can water ski. The Baseline Res Group is a group of 250 families that rent a corner of the lake from the Denver Boat Club. If you want to use this lake you MUST be a guest of one of these groups. Since it is a water supply these groups are obligated to follow strict rules. They cannot allow anyone to just hop the fence and play because their privileges will be taken away. Someone is always watching the lake including the City of Lafayette watching the two clubs activities.... |
