A visit to Eagle Lake is always a good idea. Eagle Lake is one of the lakes here in the Sawatch Range. Eagle Lake gets very little rain; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain; the driest of the months is February. Don't leave Eagle Lake without first going for a hike along the Ironedge Trail; what would winter be without some skiing at Beaver Creek. Yeah, come up here to the Sawatch Range for a splendid time. | | along the Last Chance Trail; dry warm beds await you at Hyatt Mountain Lodge. The warmest time of the year at Eagle Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's; nighttime lows at Eagle Lake through the winter typically drop into the 0's. The Pines Lodge is a great choice. All the outdoors fun stuff in the Sawatch Range will keep you coming back again and again. There's so much to do here at Eagle Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Fulford Cave Campground
is a great place for that, and going for a hike on the Lake Charles Trail is always a good adventure. This lake is so wonderful. There are some tremendous whitewater spots on Eagle River. You'll need more than a day to discover everything
Eagle Lake has to offer, you can camp at Elk Wallow Campground. Very pretty scenery and delightful skiing is what you get at Vail. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Eagle Lake you'll perhaps meet some folks from Edwards; Mystic
Island Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to. Having a pleasant time at Eagle Lake is uncomplicated. While you're here at Eagle Lake, you could also stop by lovely Halfmoon Lake; Avalanche Peak is a peak you can observe from Eagle Lake.

 | 12 miles away Beautiful drive up to Lede Reservoir. We started in Eagle and took Sylvan Lake road all the way past the lake and then took a right at the first intersection. After climbing up and around the peak in front of us we were upon some huge rolling meadows that were among the forrests. A slight drop down into the valley on the west side of the mountains and a left turn lead us to the reservoir. It is a great spot with some fishing paths around the water and a number of campsites as well. We continued west to Gypsum Creek Road and a short drive back to the town of Gypsum.... |
