A splendid location to camp here at Dyekman Reservoir is Loveland RV Village Campground; don't leave Dyekman Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Jug Trail. After a long day outdoors Courtyard By Marriott Fort Collins is a good location to spend a night or two, and whitewater paddling is magnificent on Big Thompson River. Having a magnificent time at Dyekman Reservoir is trouble-free. If you're a golfer then a great close by course                  is Cattail Creek Golf Course, and paddling on Cache La Poudre River is so much fun. Through the long summer days, highs typically are in the 80's at Dyekman Reservoir, and the nighttime is slightly cooler of course, typically in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Dyekman Reservoir. Not far from Dyekman Reservoir, you'll stumble on Boyd Lake which is a picturesque lake; you can go for a hike on the Round Mountain Trail.
