A visit to Duck Lake is always a good idea. Summertime brings highs in the 60's to Duck Lake. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 30's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Duck Lake temperatures dip to the 0's. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun things the area in the neighborhood of Duck Lake has to offer. Nearby Guanella Pass is a great location to go if you're at Duck Lake, and you can run the rapids of Clear Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Near Duck Lake you hit upon the Argentine Trail which is a
wonderful hiking trail, and if you need a spot to stay Super 8 Motel - Georgetown is a good choice. The snow is tremendous at Loveland, and Altura Dam is a charming place, beyond doubt worth a visit. On a glorious day at Duck Lake
you can take a hike along the Silver Dollar Lake Trail, and a fine spot for whitewater paddling is Clear Creek - West Fork.
