Summertime highs at Duck Lake typically tend to be in the 60's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 30's. All through the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Duck Lake are in the 0's. Arapahoe Basin is a good       local ski area, and possibly you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Square Top Lakes is just a very short distance away. An average amount of rainfall falls at Duck Lake; April is when you get the most snow here, and the driest month of the year is June. This lake is so wonderful. Burning Bear Campground is a delightful local campground, and the slopes of Loveland are so inviting noone can resist. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing                  stuff at Duck Lake. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Clear Creek, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Duck Lake; Silver Dollar Lake Trail is a perfect local trail. If you need a location to stay Georgetown Mountain Inn is a good choice, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Abyss Trail. Why not camp at Guanella Pass - Arapaho National Forest while you're here at Duck Lake. Get your heart pumping on the splendid whitewater of Clear Creek - West Fork, and do take a hike on the Argentine Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
