     Dry Mesa Reservoir Number 2 is located in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Paddling on Escalante Creek is so much fun, and close by you discover the Long Gulch Trail which is a fine hiking trail. So many fun things in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains, just amazing. Do check out Shortcut Reservoir next to Dry Mesa Reservoir Number 2, it's a beautiful lake, and going for a hike on the Gunnison Trail is always a good adventure.

   you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Delta is a good choice; the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Caps Spring. There are plenty of folks from Montrose here at Dry Mesa Reservoir Number 2. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Dry Mesa Reservoir Number 2 has to offer, you can camp at Smokehouse Campground. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Powderhorn is near Dry Mesa Reservoir Number 2.

Black Point Draw is in close proximity to Dry Mesa Reservoir Number 2 and is a great location, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Sundance is a wonderful place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Dry Mesa Reservoir Number 2 that you need to camp here for a while, Riverwood Inn & Recreational Vehicle Park is a perfect spot for that, and get wet paddling on Kannah Creek. And that's not all there is to do here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. You'll stumble on a charming lake called Stone Basin Reservoir near Dry Mesa Reservoir Number 2, and the McCarthy Trail is a great hiking trail nearby.
