Dry Lake gets very little precipitation; through the month of March you get the most rain around here while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. At Dry Lake during the warm months highs are in the 80's while night lows are generally in the 50's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Dry Lake descend into the       10's. This lake is so wonderful. A good nearby hotel is Country West Motel, and there's magnificent hiking along the Stoner Stock Trail. This site is peerless, just explore all the enjoyable things to do next to Dry Lake. The views at Mesa Verde National Park will blow your mind; Emerson Campground is a great campground here. This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Dolores River.                  If you came for an overnight stay The Forks Campground is a tremendous location to camp, and if you need a spot to stay Dunton Hot Springs is a good choice. Take a little trip to Pipe Creek since you're here at Dry Lake, and the Lost Canyon Stock Driveway offers hiking at its best. Lakes are such calm places, why not have a look at Akin Reservoir in the vicinity of Dry Lake, and if you're here, you might as well take a look at Garrison Canyon.
