If you are in Hinsdale county it's always a good idea to stop by Dry Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful place to camp here at Dry Lake is Cebolla Campground, and get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Rio Grande. If the weather is glorious here at Dry Lake, you can go for a hike along the Bondholder Trail; The Water Wheel Inn is a delightful location to get some rest. | | most rain, and February is when it's the driest.
There's whitewater on Lake Fork Gunnison River for all you adrenaline kick people, and naturally Mineral Creek flows through this area. So much exciting stuff in the San Juan Mountains, just mind-blowing. Camping is available at Spruce Campground, and you can have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Rough Creek Trail. Dry Lake is one of the lakes here in the San Juan Mountains.
