If you came to camp Black Canyon Campground is a great place to do that; the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Round Corral Spring. This lake is so wonderful. Dry Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Mesa Creek Campground is a great local campground, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Alpine Trail. Myers Gulch is a tremendous place to spend some time at, and do take a hike on the Little       Cimarron Trail. A nice nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Ouray, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Dry Lake; Hartman Trail is a magnificent local trail. Whohoo, so many fun things in one place! Dry Lake is peerless! A pleasant vista of picturesque Fitzpatrick Mesa is available from Dry Lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Cimarron River. Dry Lake is pretty waterless frequently; the wettest month of the year                  is generally October, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month is June. High temperatures at Dry Lake through the warmest time of the year are in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's.
