Go for a hike on the Mineral-Stevens Trail, and Eberling Mobile Home and RV Park is a pleasant campground nearby. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Canon City is a great location to spend a night or two, and if you came for an overnight stay Oak Creek Campground is a magnificent place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. There is a wonderful hiking trail close to Dry Lake called the Highline Trail,       and if you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Canon City is a glorious choice. From Dry Lake you obtain a perfect vista of Bear Peak, and drift down the rapids of Grape Creek in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Sheeley Trail is always a fine adventure, and Silver Park is a brilliant site to check out. A lake nearby is Deweese-Dye Reservoir, and if you come at the right time of year, Arkansas River offers some tremendous whitewater.                  For the period of the warm days of summer here at Dry Lake, high temperatures generally reach the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's with temperatures at Dry Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. This is no site for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. During your spree to Dry Lake you'll meet some folks from Canon City for sure, and Dry Lake is not the only place close by, DeWeese Reservoir is a close by lake.
