Why not stop by Dry Lake if you're passing through these parts. If the weather is great here at Dry Lake, you can go for a hike along the Highline Trail, and there are some fine whitewater spots on Grape Creek. The Sheeley Trail is a splendid hiking trail in the vicinity of Dry Lake, and Dry Lake is a tremendous location to visit for more than one day, Oak Creek Campground is a tremendous location to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. For the period of the summertime here at Dry Lake, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 40's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Dry Lake. Stay the night at Eberling Mobile Home and RV Park, and Silver Park is a great location to check out. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for
you then we recommend Arkansas River, and if you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Canon City is a delightful choice. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun things the area close to Dry Lake has to offer. People from Canon City love to come to Dry Lake, and Bear Peak is a peak you can catch a glimpse of from Dry Lake.
