Dry Lake is a quite wet place generally with lots of rainfall; March is the wettest month with most snow, and the driest month is June. The San Juan Mountains scenery is always beautiful. You definitely should love the San Juan Mountains. After a long day outdoors Best Western Movie Manor is a great place to spend a night or two. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Dry Lake has to offer,       you can camp at Spectacle Lake Campground. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a glorious time here at Dry Lake. Good hiking is available along the Posos Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Spruce Hole Trail; get yourself into a kayak and hit Rio de los Pinos. For the duration of the summer months, highs usually are in the 60's at Dry Lake; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the                  30's while Dry Lake overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's. A lake close by is Beaver Lake, and drift down the rapids of Conejos River in a kayak.
