You can never get enough of the brilliant skiing at Hesperus Ski Center, and if you need a location to stay Echo Basin Dude And Guest Ranch, LLC is a glorious choice. Around Driveway Reservoir you don’t get a lot of precipitation; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most snow, and June on the other hand is the driest. Don't forget to take a wonderful little visit to Fish Creek, and there's whitewater on Dolores River for all you adrenaline

You're probably addicted to lakes, Morgan Reservoir is one of those nearby, and unsurprisingly, all our national parks are splendid places to go to and Mesa Verde National Park is no exception. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Driveway Reservoir; Lost Canyon Stock Driveway is a great local trail. There's so much to do here at Driveway Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Priest Gulch Campground and RV is a brilliant location | |

for that. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Chicken Creek Trail, and if you've had enough of Driveway Reservoir, Barnard Reservoir is nearby. And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do near Driveway Reservoir.
A perfect close by hotel is Dunton Hot Springs. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Driveway Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Transfer Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along
the Morrison Trail, and a tour to Driveway Reservoir wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Spruce Spring. For the period of the summer at Driveway Reservoir highs are generally in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows sink down
to the 30's. Highs during the winter are frequently in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Driveway Reservoir through the winter frequently plunge into the 0's.

 | 12 miles away Summit Lake was constructed in 1905 and reconstructed and enlarged in 1938. It is owned and operated by the Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company. It contains 402 surfqace acres when full. The lake is stocked with fish by the Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) and open for public fishing. Public access is from highway 184 on the north side of the lake. There is a boat ramp. Fishing is allowed from the bank or from hand powered or trolling motor powered boats only. The public access is maintained by the DOW. The only facilities present is a boat ramp and a pit toilet. No fires, swimming or overnight camping is allowed.... |
